I'm currently in the market for a new couch.
Naturally, my parents asked me what happened to my old couch.
The answer, of course, is that I have moved it into the kitchen. Or just outside the kitchen.
The bottom line is that I can now lounge on my couch while at the kitchen table. And when I have friends over, they can sit comfortably on the couch and chat with me while I put on a spot of tea.
The botton line is that I think the whole concept of a kitchen couch is a real winner. Which is why I'm now looking for a new couch.
Also, I think I'm going to learn how to drive standard.

ok, so to begin I totally agree with your lounging in the kitchen idea, and so do all these folks that are making this 'open concept' housing so popular BUT there are kitchen couches and there are living room couches, and they are not one and the same.
In any case, how on earth does your dining room table and your couch fit in that area?
